Principals

Marnie Armstrong
Marnie has been involved with dancing for over 30 years and has had over 20 years experience in teaching all age groups the art of dance. She is an A.T.O.D.Ltd Examiner and Licentiate Teacher, the highest qualification that can be achieved with the ATOD Ltd. and has completed a Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management. She has demonstrated and taught the ATOD syllabus to students & teachers throughout Australia & overseas.  Marnie has also performed at various functions throughout Melbourne.

Pam Broadbent
Pam has been involved with dancing for over 50 years and has had over 40 years experience in teaching all age groups the art of dance. Pam is a Licentiate Teacher, the highest qualification that can be achieved with the ATOD Ltd. She is an ATOD Ltd. Examiner and has examined throughout Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. On many occasions she has represented the ATOD Ltd. in the Asian Pacific Region teaching their syllabus to schools and teachers. In 2007 she was awarded a life membership with ATOD Ltd.

 

Teaching Staff

Jessica Bowden
Jessica has been dancing for 18 years at the Broadbent Dance Academy. For the last 6 years she has been teaching Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. She has completed a Bachelor of Primary Education at Deakin University as well as a Certificate III in Community Recreation through A.T.O.D. In 2006 Jessica took part in the Closing Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. She has also performed and demonstrated for A.T.O.D. Ltd in Hong Kong several times, and has traveled with the Broadbent Dance Academy to New Zealand and Singapore.

Ashlene Mudroch
Ashlene has been performing for 18 years with the Broadbent Dance Academy, studying jazz, tap, ballet, funk and acrobatics. Throughout this time she has received several scholarships including the National Children’s Dance Theatre Award and an adjudicators scholarship in New Zealand. Wanting to further her skills, Ashlene enrolled in Dance Factory’s Full Time Performing Arts course in 2005 and in 2006 graduated with a Diploma in Dance and Dance Teaching. Her professional appearances include the AFL Grand Final Opening Ceremonies, Channel 7’s Good Friday Gala Performances, Melbourne City’s Federation March and Commonwealth Welcome Home Parade,’ Puss in Boots’ with the Tivoli Theatre restaurant, and as Dancer/ Choreographer performed in several Elvis floorshows. Ashlene played the role of Marcy Wills in Catchments’ ‘Witches of Eastwick’and came first in the A.T.O.D Ltd Senior Jazz scholarship for Victoria.She has Also travelled with the Broadbent Dance Academy to New Zealand And Singapore. She has performed in Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Captain Feathersword shows throughout Australia. Recently, Ashlene has toured New Zealand with the Bob The Builder Show and she is currently training to be a A.T.O.D Ltd Demonstrator.
